Our Crispy Garlic Herb Bread with HVOC Garlic Olive Oil is a simple crowd-pleaser that pairs beautifully with soups, pasta and shared meals. The garlic-infused olive oil delivers rich, savoury flavour throughout every slice, while fresh parsley and Parmesan create a delicious golden finish. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it's hard to stop at just one piece.

Ingredients
- 1 crusty sourdough loaf or French baguette
- 4 tbsp Hunter Valley Olive Co. Garlic Olive Oil
- 2 tbsp butter, softened (optional, for extra richness)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced).
- Slice the loaf into thick pieces without cutting all the way through, or cut into individual slices if preferred.
- In a small bowl, combine the Hunter Valley Olive Co. Garlic Olive Oil, softened butter (if using), parsley, a pinch of salt and cracked black pepper.
- Brush or spoon the garlic oil mixture generously between each slice and over the top of the loaf.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
- Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and bake for 10 minutes. Open the foil and bake for a further 2–5 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Serve warm as a side to soups, pasta or your favourite winter meals.
